So far we have organised a building contractor and trusted supervisor to watch over the project whilst we are away. At the moment we are waiting for the board’s approval then we can apply for planning permission which can take up to one month.

 

The design for the new classrooms is based on the older building with some added improvements. The current classrooms are prone to flooding during monsoon season, so the new classrooms will be built on a higher level, three steps up above the ground. We are also using better quality materials on the roof, to prevent leaks and falling tiles. Additionally the cost of the project includes an electrician, who will install ceiling fans in the classrooms. The total cost of building the classrooms is $23,000.00 (USD)
